Thank goodness ar tintensive week is over - good as it is, it means a work overload. Had about 10 minutes break all day all week, and late night with board meeting on Tuesday. Was on the way home Thursday when K got hold of me re mum, so had to head back into town and get things sorted, and mum into hospital. Friday was NOT a good day! But have been for a 60 kms run and feel like me again! Interestingly enough I went up Tangowahine Valley. I have often thought about somewhere Alvin took us all once to a river and never remembered where it was. But I am almost sure I cycled past it.

Did some ict stuff at school
Got finalised list for Art Intensive next week - they took T out of my group - yes. Having had no dealings with him, not sure how to handle him if he threw a hissy fit!

Went for a wander through where the builders are doing the upgrade - interesting. It is hard to visualise from a plan to how it is going to look. We do have a dedicated music room!

Had to go over to the backpackers to visit one of the classes - we have 2 classes off site over the road. The backpackers used to be the junior part of the school where I taught when I went back after Rog & TM were born.

The new reception class next term is going to be in the staffroom

We have 1 toilet for all the women staff at the moment

    All interesting

Our focus at the moment is co-operation

Have foundout how to download off youtube and then convert so I can put the songs that we play at band an orchestra on to my mp3 player. And can now show relevant clips to the kids - youtube is blocked at school!

well that was a good ride. Weather was perfect. Not as hard as regarding hills as it is around here. Times aren't up yet, and I am not sure exactly what time I went over the start mat as we went out in waves. I was the last person leaving Rotorua - the social riders went out an hour earlier than the main group. but by the time we headed down where s did the half marathon, I was no longer last. In the main 'street' of Reporoa was a guy with 2 alpacas - random! Greeted all the marshalls on my way around, chatted to some interesting other cyclists, watched motorbikes racing as we cycled up one of the last hills. sat and chatted to soem guy while the prizegiving was on and we didn't win any big spot prizes, but M won a pair of cycling gloves. there was a big pile up, needing 3 ambulances at one spot, also a couple of ambulances at other places.

got home about midnight. Great time.

Now looking really forward to Aussie

Am 'sick' today - according to the boss, and so is M. But we are going into a meeting at school at 8, and then off to Rotorua at 11ish. Not sure which vehicle as the boss' wife is driving us but she has been sort ing out her parents. Then after school the boss, another principal, her partner and her brother are all driving down. We start at 9.30 am - am really nervous about riding in a bunch. Distance shuld be okay considering I did 94kms of hilly a couple of weeks ago. J is coughing and spluttering all other me so hope I don't get that! Especially as he is so seldom home, it would tick me off if he was just home long enough to make me sick!

J & I are enetered for the run 4 mums 10 km walk on mothers day - that will be an early start for mum and I as we need to be there at 8.15 - actually - may be better to come down the day before come to think of it.

Had a student teacher with me this week - friend of S, and I had her as a child when at Family Link - I feel old. She is great, has been working as a teacher aide so knows the ropes!

Wow it was so good to see the boy graduate. Am proud of him. He had some really good marks the last year too.

I did 64.75 kms - twice around Parore and then out to almost the far end of Tat Flat. Was travelling at about 34 - 35 kph going, but then I turned around and... I was down to about 15 kph some times cos there was a head wind. 50 kms in 2 hours and then 3/4 hr to do the last lot! Met Jock at TKP - he actually saw me this time, I think.

We went for an after school ride - 39 kms.
After being in a hot sticky room all day, it is lovely to be out there creating your own breeze.

Need to get class quieter and more settled, most working okay but a couple to be on top of. Hard for the kids in this heat.
